Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Park | Walt Disney Studios Park
- 2 Theme Parks
- 7 Resort Hotels
- Disney Village shopping & entertainment district
- Now booking through spring 2027
No French lessons required. When the Walt Disney Imagineers created Disneyland Paris, they took inspiration from their own childhood dreams about what a Disney park could be. Disneyland Park is now widely considered Disney’s most aesthetically beautiful castle park. After a head-to-toe glittering renovation, the Disneyland Hotel is welcoming guests with enchanted royal rooms and princesses around every corner. A spectacular new Disney Electrical Sky Parade re-imagines the Main Street classic with floating drones over Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Starting on March 29, 2026, the newly-renamed Disney Adventure World will become the home to The World of Frozen, with a whole new water ride based on The Lion King not far behind. After Paris wowed the world by hosting the recent Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games, folks from around the world are heading to the City of Light!

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT DISNEYLAND PARIS?
The weather’s different, the holidays are different, and the busiest peak-season periods are very different from the USA. Should you visit before the World of Frozen opens or after? You won’t want to arrive in France and second-guess if you’ve timed it right. How many days do you need to see everything? Let’s discuss it all.
When you think about planning your visit, keep these guidelines in mind:
You’ll probably three or four days to see the parks. | If you’re a major Disney fan — like many Wishful Thinking clients — you’ll want at least three days to properly explore Disneyland Paris two parks. If you plan to visit during the peak season months in 2026, we recommend four days, simply because the crowds will be unprecedented this year.
Time wisely if you hope to visit The World of Frozen. | It’s opening on March 29, 2026. Wishful Thinking will be on-site for the opening days, with expert insights to share with our clients! To make sure you’re in the loop on ALL the updates, go ahead and submit a trip-planning inquiry.
Theme park entry is INCLUDED with any Disney resort hotel stay. | See our explanation below, but Paris is simply set up differently than the USA’s parks. You’ll have admission into both theme parks (including free Park Hopping) from the opening minute of your check-in day all the way to the closing minute of your check-out day. Park entrance is a standard perk of a Disney resort hotel stay. Can we book you a room without theme park admission? Yes — tap here to learn more ▸
Disneyland Paris’s shows, restaurants, parades, and shops are completely unique. You’ll want to see as many as you can. Other one-of-a-kind attractions — like Phantom Manor, Crush’s Coaster, and Rhythm of the Pride Lands — are so cool that you’ll want to experience them more than once to notice new details!
If you only have a day or two, we’ll help you prioritize what to see. If this might be your one and only visit, give yourself sufficient time to explore everything.
Plan for major jet lag. | If you’re arriving from North or South America, It isn’t wise to visit Disney immediately upon arrival. Why? Because you’ll be dealing with significant jet lag symptoms. For the first two days or so, you’ll probably be foggy-brained, having trouble falling asleep at night. Mornings are extra rough.
Plan for Paris sightseeing first. | At the start of your trip, give yourself a few full days in Paris. Fill your itinerary with flexible sightseeing plans. Book a comfy, centrally-located hotel — we’ve got a terrific shortlist — where you can sleep in or take mid-day breaks without fearing that you’re wasting the precious time you’re supposed to be in the parks. Save your Disney days until after your body has had time to adjust. | Yes, we can book your Paris hotel, too ▸
The Disneyland Paris parks are designed for four seasons. | They’ve got quite a lot more indoor attractions, indoor queue space, and indoor dining than the North American parks. The parks are still enjoyable when it’s cold or rainy. Paris’s climate is similar to Seattle, Washington — rainy days are very common, even into the summer months. Snow is rare. It typically melts quickly. Sub-freezing temperatures? Rarely more than a day or two, even in the depths of winter. The most comfortable months of the year are May through early October. But if you’re wondering when to visit, take it from Audrey Hepburn’s character in Sabrina: “Paris is always a good idea.”
Weekends are more crowded during warm weather months. | On Saturdays and Sundays — from Spring through early Autumn — you’ll see quite a few local French families and annual pass holders who come for the day. If you can visit during the week, it’s a good idea. Mondays through Thursdays are best.
The holidays are delightful — but potentially crowded. | October is one of the best times to visit Disneyland Paris. Their Halloween decorations are divine, and their new Halloween Party is an absolute smash. The days just before and after Easter are extra crowded, and hotels are pricy. The Christmas period at Disneyland Paris is beautifully decorated and delightfully charming. Holiday festivities typically begin in late November. But if you visit from about December 22nd through New Year’s Day, expect significant crowds. That said, it’s nowhere near as crowded as Disneyland or Walt Disney World typically are during the holidays.
Avoid August if you can. | It’s wise to avoid the entire month of August — when nearly all of Western Europe collectively goes on vacation. Many of Paris’s best independently-owned restaurants, cafes, and bakeries close their doors so their entire staff can take a vacation. A visit during August means you’ll miss out on many of Paris’s local charms. The parks are the most crowded that they’ll ever be, and the Disneyland Paris hotels are the most expensive during this time. It’s also not unusual to see temps stretch into the 90’s F (mid-30’s C), and many of France’s hotels, shops, and restaurants do not have air-conditioning.
DISNEYLAND PARIS — WORLD OF FROZEN: KEY DETAILS AND OPENING TIMELINES
What rides are inside the land? How will Disney grant priority access? Will Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff appear for character meet & greets or character dining? Where can you find the stunning new ‘life-size’ Olaf? Do I need reservations for the new restaurants? How will the World of Frozen be similar (or different) from the Arendelle-themed lands at Hong Kong Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea?
WHAT RIDES ARE INSIDE THE WORLD OF FROZEN?
There’s just one ride (attraction) within Arendelle at Disneyland Paris. Avoiding major spoilers, let’s share the key details.
Frozen Ever After
- What is it? A family-friendly boat ride
- Scary elements: mild drops and potential drops of water, and a brief close encounter with Marshmallow (a rather abominable snowman)
- Motion dynamics: A gentle backwards plunge
- Minimum height requirement: none
- Estimated ride time: about 5 – 6 minutes
- What to expect: From a charming port in Arendelle, you’ll set sail on a tuneful journey, passing through castles and gardens, coming face to face with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, Sven, and the adorable storytelling trolls, who set the tale in motion. The unescapable highlight of the ride is when you ascend the misty mountains to see Elsa sing her iconic anthem in her iconic ice palace.
HOW CAN I GET PRIORITY ACCESS TO ARENDELLE & FROZEN EVER AFTER?
Disney has announced that Frozen Ever After will have a Premier Access queue — i.e., Disneyland Paris’s version of ‘fastpass,’ — and we happily help our clients secure Premier Access Ultimate, which grants skip-the-line privileges for the 19 most popular attractions between both parks. (The new Raiponce Tangled Spin will also be included in this benefit.)

When Disney parks have opened new lands in recent years, such as STAR WARS: Galaxy’s Edge, Avengers Campus, Zootopia, or Fantasy Springs, there’s typically a lengthy wait to enter the land itself. It’s rational to predict that something similar will happen at Disneyland Paris. The Extra Magic Hour early park entry for Disney Resort guests is sure to provide a generous advantage.
As for the specific operational procedure, we’re awaiting more details — and we’ll update this page as soon as we know more. (Get updates via email ▸ )
WORLD OF FROZEN LIVE ENTERTAINMENT: THE SNOWFLOWER FESTIVAL
A Celebration in Arendelle is an all-new daytime show featuring Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf, and the citizens of Arendelle on themed ships that sail through Arendelle Bay. We are awaiting key details — like the performance times and any priority viewing areas — but this seems like the kind of show that happens on waterways in Tokyo DisneySea, where many vantage points along the waterfront offer a great show. We’ll update when we know more.
WORLD OF FROZEN CHARACTER MEET & GREETS
Anna & Elsa | Disney has announced that Anna & Elsa will appear within a dedicated indoor character meet & greet location within the castle at Arendelle. From the promotional images, it seems that Elsa will be costumed in her “Show Yourself” white crystalline gown, and that Anna will appear in her royal emerald dress and crown.
Important note: Disneyland Paris has relied on a Virtual Queue for its most popular character meet & greet locations since 2025. Within this system (which is used at the Princess Pavilion, Stitch, Darth Vader and Avengers meet & greets), guests must open the Disneyland Paris app and request a spot. Without a confirmed place in the Virtual Queue, you don’t get to experience the meet & greet — there is no Standby queue. The Virtual Queue release times vary from day to day, but on the busiest days, the Virtual Queue at the Princess Pavilion fills to capacity very early. We’ll want to see if something similar happens for Anna & Elsa. We’ll update this page when we know more.
Olaf | For almost the first time in forever, a self-walking character will interact with Disney Parks guests. (WALL·E, where did you go?!?) Walt Disney Imagineering has developed an astonishing robotic Olaf that will walk through Arendelle and greet guests. We don’t know how, when, or where these interactions will occur, but it seems likely that these will be surprise appearances, rather than something that’s timed & scheduled. We’ll update when we know more.
Kristoff, Oaken, Mossie | Disney’s indicated that other friends from Arendelle will be appearing as ‘surprise & delight’ characters within the land, and that will likely include Oaken (of the “hee-hoo!” sauna fame), Kristoff, and an adorable troll who also appears in Hong Kong Disneyland, named Mossie.
DO I NEED RESERVATIONS FOR THE WORLD OF FROZEN RESTAURANTS?
Thankfully, no. The Nordic Crowns Tavern is quick service location where reservations are not needed. It may offer mobile ordering to help reduce wait times. We don’t have the full menu just yet, but we’ll update this section when we know more.
There are no table service or character dining experiences inside the World of Frozen, but there will be a new table service restaurant outside of the World of Frozen in the new Adventure Way area. The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge is a table service restaurant with stunning views across Adventure Bay and princess character dining. Considering that Anna & Elsa will be appearing nearby, it’s highly unlikely that they’ll make appearances within the Regal View. Rather, we can expect appearances from characters like Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Merida, Rapunzel, Snow White, and Tiana.
Reservations at the Regal View are already open for those with a confirmed Disney resort hotel stay; we can add this to your booking when you book your Disneyland Paris trip through Wishful Thinking.
HOW DOES ARENDELLE IN PARIS COMPARE TO THE FROZEN LANDS IN HONG KONG DISNEYLAND AND TOKYO DISNEYSEA?
Hong Kong Disneyland’s World of Frozen seems very similar. They’ll both feature an enhanced Frozen Ever After that improves upon the original attraction at EPCOT. The show scenes are more spacious, crystalline effects are more impressive, and — most famously — the Audio Animatronic characters’ faces are more realistic. The Nordic Crowns Tavern seems to share theming and design with the Golden Crocus Inn. The land’s architectural details are very similar too, including richly-hued rowhouses, A-frame rooftops, extensive rosemaling, and the frozen snowflake central fountain. The two major differences in Hong Kong are its two additional, original attractions. Playhouse in the Woods is an interactive live theatre show where Anna, Elsa & Olaf present the tale of the four elemental spirits of fire, wind, rock, and water. Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs is a kid-friendly coaster through the hills of Arendelle. Hong Kong’s coolest feature, though, is surely its own mountainous topography, which adds a gorgeous natural backdrop that enhances the spectacle of the whole land.
Plan a trip to Hong Kong Disneyland ▸
The Arendelle area within Tokyo DisneySea’s Fantasy Springs area is quite distinct. Not only is the land layout very different — with tall evergreen forests and an eye-popping waterfront entry gate — but Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey is a one-of-a-kind attraction that completely re-thinks what a Frozen-themed attraction can and should be. When it opened in 2024 it instantly became the most popular attraction in all of Tokyo Disney Resort, and it stands as one of Walt Disney Imagineering’s greatest achievements. The Royal Banquet of Arendelle is a massive quick service restaurant where you truly feel that you’ve stepped into the castle’s impressive ballrooms and art galleries. The theming and attention-to-detail are impeccable.
Wishful Thinking specializes in all international Disney destinations, not just Disneyland Paris. We’re one of the few travel agencies that will assist with Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Shanghai Disney parks.
WHAT ARE THE BEST HOTELS AT DISNEYLAND PARIS RESORT?
Let’s explore the Disneyland Paris resort hotels — nearly all of which are within walking distance from the theme park entrances. The newly-renovated Disneyland Hotel has reopened last year, offering a royal setting with true 5-star luxury accommodations. Other Deluxe hotels like Disney’s Newport Bay Club or Disney’s Hotel New York – the Art of MARVEL also offer top-notch accommodations. Which hotels are the most unique?
THE LAY OF THE LAND
Before you think about where to stay, let’s cover some navigational basics.
Disneyland Paris is much more compact than Walt Disney World, but much more spread out & expansive than Disneyland. The resort is not technically located in Paris; rather, it’s the suburban towns of Chessy / Marne-la-Valée, about an hour from Paris by train. The whole resort area is officially called Disneyland Paris Resort — not EuroDisney — it contains 7 resort hotels, the Disney Village dining district, and two theme parks. Disneyland Park is often called Parc Disneyland, its French equivalent. Walt Disney Studios Park is the name of the second theme park, which recently welcomed Avengers Campus and will soon see the arrival of Arendelle — the World of Frozen.
Here are the hotels we recommend for our clients:
DISNEYLAND HOTEL | Get pricing ▸
- Luxury hotel (5 stars) | Built directly above the park entrance of Disneyland. 4-minute walk to Walt Disney Studios Park.

- Delightful Crystal Pool, an indoor pool with gleaming marble that’s open year round

- Elegant Castle Club rooms and Signature Suites, the creme-de-la-creme of Disney accommodations, featuring eye-catching views directly overlooking Disneyland park. Deluxe Club rooms offer garden views with their own club lounge and enhanced amenities.
DISNEY’S HOTEL NEW YORK – THE ART OF MARVEL | Get pricing ▸
- Deluxe hotel (4 stars) | 5-minute walk to the Disney Village entrance
- A swanky, stylish, genuinely cool, modern hotel full of art inspired by MARVEL characters — created by working MARVEL artists. The restaurants & lounge are extra good — currently the best on property. Guests here enjoy exclusive character appearances and photo opportunities with MARVEL characters. MARVEL-themed photo studios & kid-friendly art workshops. It’s a terrific property.
- Fully renovated in 2021 / 2022, with enhanced amenities, all-new dining, kids activities & a spiffed-up pool.
- Empire State Club level accommodations include superior rooms, Super Hero Suites, Spider-Man Suites, and Avengers suites, some of which have 3 bedrooms, multiple bathrooms and a living room.
DISNEY’S NEWPORT BAY CLUB | Get pricing ▸
- Deluxe hotel (4 stars) | 5-minute walk to the Disney Village entrance
- Atlantic yacht club with a seafaring theme, with a relaxing waterfront boardwalk and a tawny club lounge. Very reminiscent of Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort at Walt Disney World. The indoor-outdoor pool is extra transporting.
- Compass Club level rooms include spectacular honeymoon suites, Presidential Suites in the round turrets, and rooms with beautiful lakeside views.
DISNEY’S SEQUOIA LODGE | Get pricing ▸
- Moderate hotel (3 stars) | 7-minute walk to the Disney Village entrance
- Themed around the California state park lodges around Giant Sequoia National Park, with an embrace of mid-century furniture and animal trophy kitsch. Not nearly as luxurious as Disney’s Wilderness Lodge or Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, but the vibe is similar. Think comfortable, casual atmosphere, with perhaps a touch of Wes Anderson flair. NOTE: Standard rooms are currently being renovated; current bookings are only for the non-renovated rooms.
- Golden Forest Club rooms invite you into a more luxurious deep woods relaxation vibe, with a beautiful lounge, seated VIP check in, and on-site concierge.
DISNEY’S HOTEL CHEYENNE | Get pricing ▸
- Value hotel (2 stars) | 10-minute walk to the Disney Village entrance
- Themed around the old Western towns. It looks less like Frontierland than you might expect; the design details can be inconsistent. There’s no pool, but the recently renovated rooms have fun-filled details from Toy Story’s Woody’s Round-Up.
DISNEY’S HOTEL SANTA FE | Get pricing ▸
- Value hotel (2 stars) | 10-minute walk to the Disney Village entrance
- Themed around Pixar’s “Cars” franchise, with a Southwestern Americana theme — think cowboys & desert cactuses. It’s cute, but undeniably downmarket. Be advised: there’s no pool, no elevators, and no air-conditioning.
We do not recommend Disney’s Davy Crockett Ranch, because it offers no transportation between its cabins and the theme parks.
WHAT ABOUT STAYING AT A HOTEL / VACATION HOME IN PARIS?
Contemplating heading out to the parks from a hotel or vacation home in Paris? We don’t recommend it. Here’s why:
- It can take over an hour to get to Disneyland’s parks from the center of Paris on board the RER A train. The morning pre-work rush hour on the RER train isn’t exactly comfy. A ride in a car — with traffic — is usually longer. You’ll probably arrive well after the parks have already opened to the Disney resort hotel guests, so lines may be long by the time you make it in.
- The trains don’t run overnight. At the end of the day, it can be very difficult to make it onto the final train from Marne-la-Valée back to Paris, especially if it’s summertime when fireworks don’t happen until 11 PM. If you do luck out with that final train, you should expect standing room only for your commute. Not fun after a day on your feet.
- You’ll need to purchase your Disneyland Paris theme park tickets a la carte, directly from Disneyland Paris. Those tickets are non-refundable.
- Most significantly, Wishful Thinking cannot assist you. Disney only authorizes us to help those who book a Walt Disney Travel Package with a Disneyland Paris resort hotel or select Disneyland Paris partner hotels: Hôtel l’Elysée Val d’Europe, B&B Hotel, Adagio Marne-la-Vallée Val d’Europe, Explorers Fabulous Hotels Group, or Campanile Val de France.

HOW DO THEME PARK TICKETS WORK AT DISNEYLAND PARIS RESORT?
With any Disneyland Paris resort package, you’ll enjoy multi-day theme park tickets with Extra Magic Hours and complimentary park hopping as a perk of your stay — but the access & pricing are very different from the American parks. As you may have noticed, the Disneyland Paris website automatically includes theme park admission for every day of your visit — and won’t let you reduce the number of tickets.
Wishful Thinking is authorized to quote and book a la carte, ‘room only’ Disneyland Paris hotel stays with a fewer number of days in the parks. You don’t have to call France. However — this is essential — you may be surprised to learn that this almost always costs more money in the end. Read on and we’ll explain it all.
THEME PARK ACCESS & THEME PARK TICKETS FOR RESORT HOTEL GUESTS
At Disneyland Paris, Theme Park entry is included with standard Disney resort hotel packages, as a perk of your accommodations. It’s called a MagicPass. It grants you unlimited access to the parks from the opening minutes of your arrival day through to the closing minutes of your departure day. Extra Magic Hours get you early entry to at least one of the parks every morning, an exclusive benefit for resort hotel guests. Also, unlimited park hopping is included all day, every day. And of course, you’re always free to exit the parks and re-enter, if you’d like some rest, relaxation, or pool time back at your resort.
Some Americans’ jaws drop when they learn this — this is very different from Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
CAN I REDUCE THE NUMBER OF THEME PARK DAYS WITH OUR RESORT HOTEL STAY?
You may be wondering, “What if we won’t arrive at Disneyland Paris resort until late on our first day? Or need to leave early on our check out day? Wouldn’t we be wasting theme park tickets? What’s what’s the price if we do it a la carte? Can we do a five night hotel stay and a three day ticket?”
The answer is yes. Wishful Thinking can quote and book an a la carte, room only hotel stay with separate ticket purchases at Disneyland Paris.
However, it’s essential to know that this very VERY rarely saves you money. Disneyland Paris has an entirely different business model than the American parks. More often than not, a room-only reservation + a la carte tickets actually costs more, even if you reduce your number of theme park ticket days.
Why? Disneyland Paris wants its guests in the parks, where they’ll buy food, drinks, merchandise, ‘fastpasses,’ and more. The Disney hotel guests who are not entering the parks are often business travelers attending on-site conventions, or they’re catching an early flight on the morning they check out. So — if they won’t be contributing revenue in the parks, Disney collects that revenue via higher a la carte hotel prices.
That said, we can quote both options so you can compare ▸
ARE DISNEYLAND PARIS TICKET DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE?
Disney doesn’t present this benefit as clearly as they could, but essentially, Disney resort hotel guests (within a standard package) receive a huge discount on the cost of their theme park admission; that discount is even steeper than the handful of other discounts that Disneyland Paris offers.
For guests who are visiting for just one day, Disneyland Paris offers discounts for those with physical disabilities (for a maximum of 2 guests) and those who serve in the United States Military. But currently, there are no discounts for the Disney resort hotel packages for guests with disabilities or military service.
IS IT BETTER TO JUST STAY AT A HOTEL IN PARIS AND BUY TICKETS FOR THE DAY?
No. A standard Disney resort hotel package is the most affordable, most beneficial way to experience the best of Disneyland Paris. If you stay at a hotel off-site, here’s a quick rundown of the practical impact:
- The commute is not cute. Catching the RER A train to Disney is easy, in theory, but heading back to Paris after the fireworks is an hour-long, standing-room-only, smushed like sardines, crying children, sore feet melodrama, to put it mildly. Getting an Uber at that time is a “No Available Cars” digital disaster.
- The Disney guests’ full hour of early park entry is a game-changer. Especially after the World of Frozen’s spring & summer crowds arrive.
- Disney guests can book dining a full YEAR in advance. The general public can only begin booking 60 days in advance. By that time, the most sought-after character dining experiences are booked up.
- Disney guests have exclusive access to book My Royal Dream (Paris’s version of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique). If you’re hoping to see your young one (aged 4 – 11) experience a royal makeover with a Fairy Godmother-in-training, you’ll need to be a Disney resort hotel guest.
- Disney guests have first dibs on Premier Access Ultimate. The chance to skip the waits on all of the 19 most popular attractions only opens to the public 14 days in advance. Disney resort hotel guests can add it up to a year in advance, so it can sell out before it goes on sale to the general public.

WHAT AGES OF GUESTS NEED A TICKET TO ENTER DISNEYLAND PARIS?
As with the parks in the USA, all guests over the age of 3 require a ticket (or resort hotel Magic Pass) enter Disneyland Paris. Guests from 0 – 3 may enter for free with a parent or legal guardian who has valid theme park admission.
DOES DISNEYLAND PARIS OFFER A ‘FASTPASS’ / LIGHTNING LANE TICKET ENHANCEMENT?
Yes! Paris’s system is called Premiere Access — and we’ve got the details in the next section, below.
Let’s plan your trip to Paris ▸
ADD-ONS FOR PACKAGES AT DISNEYLAND PARIS
How does Premier Access Ultimate work for skipping lines? Are meal plans like Half Board, Full Board, or daily breakfast a smart idea? What do Club Level / Castle Club amenities include? Should you consider Disney Princess dining at Auberge de Cendrillon or preferred viewing for the evening fireworks? What about airport shuttles?
DISNEYLAND PARIS BREAKFAST & MEAL PLANS
Because hot breakfast items aren’t offered inside the Disneyland Paris parks — and the hotels don’t have ‘grab & go’ or quick service restaurants — most guests add breakfasts to their hotel reservations. It’s smart; each hotel offers the same ample buffet breakfast with eggs, sausage, bacon, Mickey waffles, croissants, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc. (with exceptions for Santa Fe, which only has a continental breakfast, and the Disneyland Hotel, which has an enhanced menu). You may only enjoy breakfast in the hotel where you’re staying.
Beyond breakfast, many guests here opt to add additional pre-paid meals, which Disney calls Half Board and Full Board. Here’s how it works:
- HALF BOARD | Breakfast + 1 additional meal per guest per hotel night
- FULL BOARD | Breakfast + 2 additional meals per guest per hotel night
- FULL BOARD EXTRA PLUS | Breakfast + 2 additional meals per guest per hotel night, with one character meal and daily snacks
Are Disneyland Paris’s meal plans worth it? Yes, if you expect to eat at Table Service restaurants and/or character dining. Because most of Disneyland Paris’s table service restaurants only offer a pre-fixe, set price menu, the meal plan typically saves you money. More than anything, it’s lovely to simply have more of your vacation paid for before you even show up. Pricing varies, depending on your resort hotel stay.
Similar to Walt Disney World’s dining plans, you’re free to use your meal credits at any point during your stay (so if you get Half Board, you’re free to use 2 meal credits on one day and none on the next day). Unlike Walt Disney World, there are no snack credits for the Disneyland Paris meal plans.
Want to talk through the best options for your stay?
CHARACTER DINING AT DISNEYLAND PARIS
During a character dining experience, you’ll enjoy a delicious meal while Disney characters pass by your table during your meal for fun-filled hugs and photos. They’re very popular, but unlike Disneyland (California) or Walt Disney World, in Paris you’ll need to add most character meals to your vacation package. They’re very rarely available for booking within the app (or as a walk-up reservation).
Here are all the character dining restaurants in Paris:
- Auberge de Cendrillon | In a charming chateau just behind Sleeping Beauty castle in Disneyland park, Cinderella invites you to her auberge for a French gourmet three-course meal with white tablecloths and a selection of visiting princesses. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are offered, but the meal service varies throughout the year (during low season, breakfast or dinner might not be served). | Characters include Cinderella (at every meal) plus a selection of other princesses, which may include Aurora, Belle, Jasmine, Merida, Rapunzel, or Tiana. Beginning in April, Mickey Mouse joins the fun.
- Plaza Gardens | At the end of Main Street U.S.A., a turn-of-the-century dining hall offers a huge American / European buffet for breakfast and dinner. | Characters vary and are never guaranteed, but breakfast typically sees “supporting player” characters like Timon, Tigger, Gepetto, or Captain Hook. Dinner service more often sees classic characters like Donald, Daisy, Goofy, or Pluto. Note: Plaza Gardens is closing on March 29th for an extended refurbishment.
- Regal View Restaurant and Lounge | Opening March 29th, an elegant brand-new dining room will overlook Adventure Bay and feature princess character dining.
- Royal Banquet | Inside the Disneyland Hotel, a phenomenal, elaborate crowd-pleasing buffet featuring a seasonal menu inspired by Disney stories. Lady & the Tramp’s spaghetti, Tiana’s beignets, Anna & Elsa’s favorite chocolate, that sort of thing. The seafood spread from Chef Louis’s les poissons is exceptional. Very highly recommended. | Expect Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto, dressed in their royal finery.
- La Table de Lumiére | Inside the Disneyland Hotel. Sink your teeth into mouthwatering French haute cuisine in a romantic dining room inspired by the famous hall of mirrors in the palace at Versailles. Prince and princess couples greet you as you dine.| Characters appearances vary, but may include Aurora & Prince Phillip, Belle & Prince Adam, Cinderella & Prince Charming, or Ariel & Prince Eric.
Can guests redeem Meal Plan credits at a Disneyland Paris character dining experience? Yes, you may, although you’ll pay a supplemental cost that varies based on the restaurant and the hotel where you’re staying. Guests of the Disneyland Hotel are not charged a supplement to use their meal plan credits for character dining.
PHOTO PASS
Similar to Disneyland and Walt Disney World, you can pre-pay to pose with Disney’s professional photographers throughout both parks. They’re primarily found near the Castle and character meet & greets. Action shots taken on board attractions are included, too. One price covers all the days and all the guests within your vacation package. It’s about $100 USD, and we can add it to your vacation package. Recommended.
PREMIER ACCESS
Rather than Genie+ (or FastPass), Disneyland Paris’s skip-the-lines privilege is called Premier Access, and it’s offered at the 15 most popular attractions between the two parks. There are two ways to do it:
PREMIER ACCESS (standard)
- Pay within your app (8 to 15 Euros per guest per attraction)
- You must select from a limited number of return time windows
- You may not prepay for the service before your visit
- Pricing is dynamic. Expect around 15 Euro (per guest) for Crush’s Coaster or Spider Man WEB-SLINGERS, and around 8 Euro for something like Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast.
PREMIER ACCESS ULTIMATE
- Enjoy access to ALL 19 of the attractions that accept the privilege — no advance booking windows are required.
- Use the privilege once per attraction; you simply walk up and enter. (And if you want to re-ride, you’re always free to wait in the Standby queue.)
- The price of Premier Access Ultimate varies by the day (typically between $163 – $236 USD per guest per day).
- NOTE: It’s always best for us to add this to your package if you anticipate that you’ll want a day (or multiple days) with Premier Access Ultimate. You can remove it (up until your balance payment date) if you change your mind.
- A LIMITED NUMBER OF GUESTS MAY PURCHASE THIS PER DAY. You may add this on the day of your visit — IF there are still Premier Access Ultimate bookings available.
- We can add Premier Access Ultimate to any package for one day or multiple days. To book, we must select the specific day or days you’d like the service.
FIREWORKS – PRIORITY VIEWING
Disney changes up the schedule and timing of their nightly fireworks in Disneyland Park — the schedule is announced about 6 weeks ahead of time — but one thing is consistent: when there’s a show, the castle hub viewing area gets very crowded. That’s why it’s very wise to purchase spots in the priority viewing area, which is located just in front of the castle. Pricing is dynamic; you should expect to pay around 19 € per guest (3 and above). When offered, those with confirmed Disney resort hotel reservations may purchase this enhancement 7 days before their arrival, within the Disneyland Paris app.
DISNEY EXPRESS LUGGAGE SERVICE
Because most Disneyland Paris guests arrive by train (at the Marne-la-Valée station, which is located literally inside Disney property), Disney offers a terrific service to porter your luggage to your hotel for you. Located right inside the train station, Disney Express Luggage Service is an affordable add-on (about $21 USD per guest) and we highly recommend it.
It must be reserved at least 5 days before arrival, and we’ll add it to your Disneyland Paris vacation package.
Remember, theme park access is yours to enjoy on your check-in day (even before your room is ready). So with this enhancement, you can drop off your bags with Disney Cast Members. They’ll hand you your Magic Pass. You’re free to go play in the parks! Later that afternoon, your bags will be waiting for you at the Bell Services desk of your resort hotel. On your check-out day, it’s the reverse: leave your bags with your hotel’s Bell Services desk by 11 AM, and they’ll be waiting for you at the train station for you to pick up before you head to your next destination.
Alternatively, if you’d like to take a car / taxi / private shuttle directly to (or from) your Disney resort hotel entrance, you may always leave bags with Bell Services at your resort, and that’s complimentary.
AIRPORT SHUTTLE | MAGICAL SHUTTLE BY TRANSDEV
We do not recommend the Magical Shuttle to Disneyland Paris from Charles DeGaulle (CDG) or Orly (ORY) airports. This service is not run by Disney, but by Transdev (the ‘Greyhound Bus of France’). Based on numerous customer reports (and complaints), the Magic Shuttle is highly unreliable and very time-consuming (in other words, not very magical). Transfers from the airport can include stops at up to 10 hotels. During high season, buses may be so full that you may be forced to wait at the airport for an hour or more before boarding.
Instead, we are happy to book private transfer vans for our clients from trusted partners (about 80 € per party) or provide directions for how to catch the very convenient TGV train from CDG directly to Marne-la-Valée station inside Disneyland Paris. See additional info on train travel, below.

VIP TOURS
For those who want the crème de la crème of the Disneyland Paris experience, we can add an exclusive VIP Tour to your vacation package.
- Enjoy 6 hours with an expert VIP Guide, inviting you to skip all lines and waits, guaranteeing you premium viewing areas for all parades, shows & spectaculars.
- Learn exclusive behind-the-scenes secrets of the Disney Imagineers’ most charmingly designed park, plus Avengers Campus and more.
- Choose a morning or afternoon start time: 10 AM or 2 PM. Each tour is scheduled for 6 hours, but you can add additional time if you like.
- May be booked up to 2 weeks before arrival (but availability is limited).
- To book a Disneyland Paris VIP Tour, contact us for pricing.
TRAINS & TRANSPORTATION
How do I get to Disneyland Paris by train from the center of Paris, Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), or London? I’m staying in Paris, how easy are the trains to go and visit for one day?
TRAVELING BY TRAIN | Many guests who are traveling from the city of Paris arrive at Disneyland Paris by train (see arriving by car, below, for other options). To plan travel to the train station at the resort, it’s wise to use the Google Maps app. (The native app, not the website version). The name of the station inside Disneyland Paris property is Marne-la-Valée / Chessy. This station is located literally steps away from the security entrance for Disneyland Paris Resort. Please note that there are many train lines which travel here from across France, Netherlands, Belgium, the UK, and beyond.
TRAVELING TO / FROM THE CENTER OF PARIS | The train which takes you between Paris and the resort is the RER train, line A. (Please note that this is different from the Paris metro.) From the center of Paris — such as Châtelet–Les Halles — the trains arrive about every 10 – 15 minutes, and the travel time is just under an hour.
TRAVELING FROM CDG AIRPORT BY TRAIN | This method seems fast and simple, until you actually experience it. The trains from the airport are not RER trains; rather, they’re TGV trains, and they only run from the station at CDG Terminal 2. Although the actual travel time to Marne-la-Vallée / Chessy is just 11 minutes, trains can be scheduled as long as two hours apart. Reaching the Terminal 2 station can itself take up to a full hour if your flight arrives at another terminal, and lugging your baggage in and out of intra-terminal buses can be cumbersome, especially with little ones. Buying tickets adds another 15–20 minutes to queue up and type in everyone’s passenger details — you literally have to type in every passenger’s name and date of birth on a touch-screen — and fares can exceed $30 USD per person. The last train of the day typically leaves just before 10 PM. All factors considered, many of our clients opt for taxi, ride share, or private car instead. See our recommendation below.
TRAVELING TO CDG AIRPORT BY TRAIN | As above, the TGV train from Marne-la-Vallée / Chessy reaches CDG Terminal 2 in 11 minutes, but the first trains of the day usually begin around 8 AM and serve only that terminal. From there, reaching another departure terminal can add another hour at the airport. International flights require arrival at least 3 hours before departure, which means that taking the train won’t work for departures before noon. We help our clients book private transfers from an excellent, reliable, and punctual private car service. Read on.
TRAVELING BY CAR / TAXI / PRIVATE TRANSFER | If you plan to catch a taxi, you’ll easily find a taxi at the airports (CDG or Orly), at the train stations, or in the center of Paris. If you’d like to take a ride share, it won’t be difficult to get an Uber (or Bolt) pickup in the center of Paris or the airports, but finding an available ride share driver is more difficult in the suburban area of Disneyland Paris. If you’d like a private ground transfer with a driver who’s waiting for you (or picks you up at your hotel), we highly recommend Disneyland Paris Transfer. They serve the airports, the Paris train stations, all central Paris hotels / lodging, and your Disneyland Paris hotel. Simply reserve online 48 hours before your trip; you can pay your driver in person with any major credit card. The travel time between the center of the city (including Gare du Nord) and Disneyland Paris is typically about an hour, depending on traffic. To get from your Disneyland Paris hotel to your CDG airport terminal, allow 30 – 35 minutes.
DISNEY EXPRESS LUGGAGE SERVICE | Disney Resort hotel guests who add this enhancement to their package may leave their luggage and bags at the Disney Express welcome desk inside the train station and head right into the parks. Disney Cast Members will porter them to your Disney resort hotel for you. (And on your check-out day, they’ll return them to the station.) This pre-paid enhancement must be reserved several days in advance; it’s available exclusively for Disney resort hotel guests, regardless of how you arrive at the Marne-la-Valée / Chessy station. Get pricing ▸
BUYING YOUR TRAIN TICKETS | You do not need to purchase train tickets before your travel day. Rely on the automated ticket kiosks within the train stations, which accept major credit cards. Take note that not every kiosk sells all ticket types, so be sure that your kiosk has the RER logo.
TRAVELING FROM LONDON | Pre-pandemic, many direct trains traveled directly between London and Disneyland Paris. As of now, there are no direct trains between London and Disneyland Paris. Rather, you’ll need to choose one of these options:
- Take the faster / more complicated route. From London, you’ll take a direct Eurostar train from London St. Pancras station to Paris Gare du Nord. Transfer to an RER train to Châtelet–Les Halles then transfer to the RER A train to the resort. Allow for just over an hour to get from Gare du Nord to Marne-la-Valée / Chessy. This is more complicated because you’ll need to lug your bags through two different Paris train stations. They’re hectic. You’ll buy your Eurostar ticket online. You’ll buy your RER tickets at the station. Those with a lot of luggage might find it’s easier to catch a taxi / ride share / private transfer from Gare du Nord to Disneyland. See above.
- Take the slower / simpler route: a Eurostar train from London St. Pancras to Lille Europe, then transfer trains and catch a TGV train to Marne-la-Valée / Chessy. This is simpler because it involves fewer station navigations, but the trains are slower and you’ll have time to kill in Lille Europe.
TRAVELING TO LONDON | As above, you’ll need to decide if you’d like a fast trip or a slower one. The same options are true — just in reverse. The Paris RER trains and the Paris Metro can get you to Gare du Nord, but if you’ll have a lot of luggage, it might be easier to take a taxi / ride share / private transfer to Gare du Nord, and then catch the Eurostar train from there.
If you’ll have a lot of luggage, or if you’ve got young ones who need a car seat, a private transfer is probably your best choice. A ride share / taxi won’t always be able to accommodate you. See above.
If you’ll be driving your own car, you may either enter via your resort hotel or be dropped off at the train station. The resort hotels all offer guest parking.
WHAT SHOULD I SEE & DO IN PARIS?
How many days do I need for sightseeing? How far in advance do I need to get tickets for the Louvre Museum, the Eiffel Tower, or the Palace of Versailles? Can I see these sights during my stay at Disneyland Paris?
It typically takes more than an hour to travel from Disneyland Paris resort to the heart of the city. For that reason, we suggest booking a separate hotel in Paris when you’d like to see the city. Whether you’re a solo traveler, a group of friends, a couple on a romantic getaway or a family looking to save some Euros, we’re thrilled to help our Disneyland Paris clients also book their perfect Paris hotel. We’ve got an excellent shortlist of hotels that we’ve personally visited and our clients adore.

Only have one extra day? Disneyland Paris provides a selection of guided tours that pick you up right at your Disneyland Paris resort hotel, take you to a few must-see sights, and return you in time for dinner. Keep in mind, they’re not offered every day of the week or every week of the year. So, get in touch if you’re curious about including one during your Disneyland Paris stay.
SIGHTSEEING RECOMMENDATIONS IN PARIS
For those who can include at least 2 or more days of sightseeing in the City of Light, here are our top recommendations. Note: each link sends you to its official ticketing / information site.
EIFFEL TOWER | The iconic symbol of Paris stands tall. Take the elevator ride and feel the breeze on your face while you admire panoramic views. Fun fact: there are 1,665 steps to the top, but don’t worry, elevators are available! Get your tickets 60 days in advance — advance tickets to the summit of the tower always sell out.
MUSÉE DU LOUVRE | Home to Mona Lisa’s mysterious smile and more masterpieces than you could possibly see in a day. Art and history galore, it’s a place to taste Parisian history and immerse yourself in culture. Tip: fewer crowds on Wednesdays and Fridays, but it’s smart to buy your tickets at least a few days in advance. Longer for weekends or peak travel season.
CATHÉDRALE DE NOTRE DAME | A Gothic masterpiece boasting intricate gargoyles and stunning stained glass. Once you see it with your own eyes, you’ll understand why Quasimodo found sanctuary here. It’s stunning. And, it’s reopened to the public after an absolutely miraculous full restoration & reconstruction after a massive fire in 2019.
SACRÉ-COEUR | The white-domed beauty atop Montmartre hill offers 360° views that make you feel on top of the world. On warm afternoons, the hillside lawn welcomes street musicians and a global sing-a-long full of bonhomie. Its views of the city are unrivaled. Bonus: hop on the nearby miniature carousel for a joyful spin.
MONTMARTRE | This bohemian, artsy neighborhood invites you to stroll cobblestone streets, spot countless artists, and visit buzzing cafes. Taste a fresh croissant, listen to street musicians, and soak up the joie d’vivre. History nugget: Picasso, Van Gogh, and Amelie Poulain once roamed here!
LE MARAIS | The central neighborhood where medieval charm meets modern chic. Countless quaint boutiques, trendy galleries, and delightful eateries. Get delicious falafel, select a colorful batch of macarons, or simply sit at a corner bistro. People-watching here is an art. Paris’s LGBTQ+ community rules the nightlife in the Marais; by day, you’ll see lots of families with kids enjoying its beautiful playgrounds and parks. Don’t miss the charming Place des Vosges park.
RIVER SEINE | Paris’ lifeblood meanders through the city, offering romantic strolls along its banks. A must-see if you’re up for a little l’amour. Family tip: take an enchanting boat cruise and enjoy the twinkling city lights. Dozens of different cruise companies offer everything from elegant white tablecloth romantic dinners to boozy DJ parties; here’s a popular, family-friendly option.
CHÂTEAU DE VERSAILLES | Showcasing royal opulence and grand gardens, here’s a gilded actual palace that puts mere fairy-tale castles to shame. You’ll marvel at the Hall of Mirrors — imagine Marie Antoinette’s reflection? The gardens and fountains are an extravagant delight on summer Sundays. Plan on at least half a day here, with ample travel time out & back. Get tickets at least a week in advance. Fun fact: Versailles housed 20,000 people in its heyday!
CATACOMBS OF PARIS | Venture beneath the city streets to explore an eerie labyrinth of bones. It’s a chilling, historic adventure for the brave at heart! More than six million skeletons are still buried beneath the city, from noblemen to French Revolutionaries, dating back to the 1700s. Age recommendation: 10+ and above. Buy your tickets at least a week in advance; longer during peak travel season.
MUSÉE D’ORSAY | A former train station turned world-class art museum, housing innumerous gems from Impressionist painters like Monet, Degas, Renoir, and Caillebotte. An enjoyable walk from the Louvre, just across the Seiene. Smart to buy tickets a day beforehand, & check to see what’s on during your visit. Some exhibitions are extra kid-friendly.
CHAMPS ÉLYSÉES & ARC DE TRIOMPHE | The iconic avenue may suffer from an overkill of store-brand flagships, but the boulevard itself is stunning. Get tickets to visit the top of the Arc. It’s extra cool when a setting sun casts an arc-shaped shadow on the boulevard.
This is just the beginning. We’ve got far, far more tips to share.
